Buccal vestibule carcinoma (SCC)

Comparison has been made with the previous MRI neck study dated 11/02/2023.

Findings:
Compared to the previous study of newly appreciated necrotic area is seen within the known, bulky soft tissue tumour, overlaying the walls of the right maxillary sinus and extending to the buccal soft tissue on the right side, possibly infiltrating the skin. However, no significant changes have been noticed in the size of the mass lesion. It measures approximately 4.3 x 3.5 x 3.5 cm.
Medially, the lesion abuts the hard palate. Superiorly, the lesion extends to the right orbital floor without any intraorbital extension.
Posteriorly the lesion abuts and possibly infiltrates the right zygomatic arch without extension into the right retromaxillozygomatic space or the masticator space. No perineural spread.
Unchanged small bilateral level II at right-sided level I lymph nodes.
No tumour extension into the nasal cavity or the ethmoid sinuses.
Mucosal thickening is seen within the paranasal sinuses bilaterally. Mild fluid is seen in the mastoid air cells on both sides.

The pharyngeal and glottic regions are normal. The parotid, submandibular and thyroid glands are normal.
The imaged brain parenchyma is unremarkable.
No bony abnormality is seen. The craniocervical junction and spinal canal appear patent.

Conclusion:
No significant interval changes to the known right buccal vestibule SCC, when compared to the previous study.
