Rathke’s cleft cyst

Findings:
A small rounded, approximately 5-6 mm measuring nodular lesion is seen located in the suprasellar cistern adjacent to the pituitary stalk on the right. The lesion shows hypointense signal intensity on the T2w and mildly hyperintense signal intensity on the T1w without any enhancement on the postcontrast study. The lesion contacts the right-sided optic nerve without any elevation or compression.
The pituitary gland is otherwise unremarkable.
A few non-specific foci of T2 hyperintensity are seen in bilateral cerebral white matter. The brain parenchyma is otherwise unremarkable.
The ventricles and sulcal spaces are within normal limits. No midline shift.
The orbits, paranasal sinuses and mastoid air cells are clear.
No bony abnormality is seen.

Conclusion:
Small nodular lesion adjacent to the pituitary stalk on the right, likely in keeping with a small Rathke’s cleft cyst.
