Soft tissue lipoma

Findings:
There is a well-encapsulated lobulated mass, posterior to the left paraspinal muscles extending craniocaudally from T4 to T7 levels and measuring approximately 7 x 1.8 cm. The lesion displays high signal intensity on T2WI and attenuated on suppressed fat sequence (STIR).
Multiple thin fibrous septations are noted within the lesion (<2 mm). No nodularity. No involvement of the muscles.
The vertebral bodies and discs are of normal height with no malalignment. The marrow and disc signal is normal.
The imaged cord is unremarkable. The central canal and neural exit foramina are widely patent.

Conclusion:
MRI features of a soft tissue lipoma posterior to the left paraspinal muscles at T4 to T7 levels.
