Subacute combined degeneration of the cord

Findings:
The craniocervical junction is normal.
Subtle areas of abnormal high T2 cord signal are noted in the posterior aspect of the cervical cord from C2 to C7 levels, giving the Inverted V sign appearance, likely representing subacute combined degeneration. No obvious further signal abnormality can be identified throughout the cervical and thoracic cord.
The vertebral bodies and discs are of normal height with no malalignment. The marrow and disc signal is normal.
No disc herniation. The central canal and neural exit foramina are widely patent.
No paravertebral abnormality is identified.

Impression:
Areas of signal abnormality in the cervical cord from C2 to C7 levels, likely representing subacute combined degeneration. Further surveillance is advised.
