Parathyroid adenoma

Findings:
There is a well-defined homogeneously enhanced soft tissue mass lesion posteroinferior to the right thyroid lobe measuring approximately 8 x 7 mm. No calcification seen. A feeding artery is noted leading to this lesion.
No further lesion can be identified. The thyroid gland is unremarkable.
The pharyngeal and glottic regions are normal. The parapharyngeal fat space is normal. The tonsils and adenoids are normal.
There is no lymphadenopathy.
The cervical vessels are patents.
The pulmonary apices are clear.
No bony abnormality is seen. The craniocervical junction and spinal canal appear patent.

Impression:
Features compatible with a small right posteroinferior parathyroid adenoma.
