Arrested pneumatization of the skull base/sphenoid sinuses

Findings:

A somewhat lytic lesion can be observed in the sphenoid bone, with a thin, circumscribed, sclerotic margin and heterogeneous internal matrix showing fatty marrow interspersed with curvilinear bony trabeculae, in the expected location of the developing sphenoid sinuses. No expansion or soft tissue components.

The remainder of the paranasal sinuses and mastoid air cells are clear. Mild nasal septal deviation to the left is seen.
The orbits are unremarkable.

Impression:
Features are likely in keeping with arrested pneumatization of the skull base/sphenoid sinuses. No suspicious bony lesions. No sinusitis.
