Findings:
The known, expansile, cystic lesion in the coronoid process of the mandible on the right side shows a further increase in size, when compared to the previous CT study, measuring approximately 2.6 x 1.8 x 3 cm, compared to 2.2 x 1.3 x 2.4 cm in the previous study. It causes bone remodeling and cortical thinning and cortical breach on its medial aspect.
The smaller cystic lesions in the body and aromas of the right hemimandible also demonstrate an the increase in size, for example the lesion in the mandibular angle measures approximately 1.4 cm, compared to 1.1 cm in the previous study. No evidence of any new lesions.
The inferior alveolar nerve canal courses along the medial aspect of the lesions with no obvious bony dehiscence.
A dry socket is noted after extraction of the right lower third molar. The alveolar ridge is otherwise unremarkable.
Moderate osteoarthritis of the temporomandibular joints is noted bilaterally, more significant on the right.
The paranasal sinuses and the mastoid air cells are clear. The nasal cavities are unremarkable.
Moderate to high-grade intervertebral osteochondrosis is seen in the imaged upper cervical spine.
Conclusion:
Further interval increase in the size of the right mandibular cystic lesions, when compared to the previous study of April 2022, likely in keeping with giant cell reparative cysts.
