Vagal nerve schwannoma

Findings:
25 x 23 x 33 mm measuring, well-defined, heterogenous, T2/STIR hyperintense and T1 hypointense mass is seen in the right post-styloid parapharyngeal space/carotid space. No evidence of flow voids within the lesion. The lesion is longitudinally oriented without neural foraminal extension. It shows heterogenous enhancement on the postcontrast study.
The mass has displaced the right ICA anteriorly, separating the internal jugular vein and the carotid artery, without any encasement. The upper limit of the mass is at the jugular foramen.

The parotid, submandibular and thyroid glands are normal. No cervical lymphadenopathy.
The tongue and the floor of the mouth have a normal appearance.
The imaged brain is unremarkable.
The orbits, the paranasal sinuses and mastoid air cells are clear.
No bony abnormality is seen.

Conclusion:
Features are most likely in keeping with the right-sided vagal nerve schwannoma.
