Lumbar spine mild degeneration

Findings:
Minimal scoliotic deformity of the lumbar spine with its convexity to the right.
The vertebral bodies and discs are of normal height with no malalignment. The marrow signal is normal.
The imaged cord and conus are unremarkable, as is the cauda equina. The cord terminates at T12.
Mild-to-moderate disc degeneration is seen in the lower lumbar spine with decreased signal intensity of the intervertebral discs at L3/4 – L5/S1.
Broad-based disc bulging is noted at L3/4 and L4/5 without any relevant stenosis or nerve root impingement. No disc herniation.
The central canal, lateral recesses and neural exit foramina are widely patent.
No paravertebral abnormality is identified.

Conclusion:
Mild degenerative changes of the lower lumbar spine without evidence of any relevant stenosis or nerve root impingement.
