Central neurocytoma

Findings:
Intraventricular mass of heterogeneous signal and enhancement is seen within the body of the right lateral ventricle. It has high T2 signal, wispy regions of intermediate T1 signal giving it a bubbly appearance. Following contrast administration only minimal heterogeneous enhancement is present. Foci of blooming artifacts are seen within the lesion, correlating with a small calcifications.
Unchanged configuration of the ventricular system without evidence of hydrocephalus or midline shift.
Moderate background small vessel ischaemic disease is noted. The brain parenchyma is otherwise unremarkable.
The intracranial circulation is unremarkable.
The pituitary gland is normal.
The orbits, paranasal sinuses and mastoid air cells are clear.
No bony abnormality is seen. The craniocervical junction is normal.

Conclusion:
Intraventricular mass lesion in the right lateral ventricle, is likely in keeping with central neurocytoma, DDX subependymoma. No hydrocephalus or midline shift.
