Medial canal fibrosis

Findings:
There is a crescentic band of soft tissue filling the medial external auditory canals and abutting the tympanic membranes, with a lateral extension mainly along the roof and posterior wall of the canals. There are no osseous erosions of the underlying bones.

There is normal pneumatization of the mastoid air cells and middle ear cavities with normal appearance of the bony ossicles, scutum and tegmen tympani.

Mild mucosal thickening is seen in the paranasal sinuses bilaterally. Nasal septal deviation to the left with left-sided bony spur is seen.
The orbits are unremarkable.

Impression:
CT findings are consistent with medial canal fibrosis bilaterally.
