Lymphangioma

Findings:
A well-defined lobulated lesion is seen at the right buccal region, measuring approximately 3 x 1.9 x 2.2 cm. The lesion extends medially through the right buccinator muscle to the internal surface of the cheek on the right side. Posteriorly the lesion abuts the superficial part of the right masseter.
The lesion shows fluid-fluid levels on the T2/STIR sequences and is of low signal intensity on the T1 sequence.

The tongue and the floor of the mouth have a normal appearance. The retromolar trigone is unremarkable.
The pharyngeal and glottic regions are normal. The parapharyngeal fat space is normal. The tonsils and adenoids are normal.
The parotid, submandibular and thyroid glands are normal. There is no lymphadenopathy.

The imaged brain parenchyma is unremarkable. The orbits, paranasal sinuses and mastoid air cells are clear.
No bony abnormality is seen. The craniocervical junction and spinal canal appear patent.

Conclusion:
Approximately 3 x 1.9 x 2.2 cm soft tissue lesion in the right buccal area, extending medially through the right buccinator muscle to the internal surface of the cheek, likely in keeping with a lymphangioma.
