Findings:
There is a crescentic band of soft tissue filling the medial external auditory canal on both sides and abutting the tympanic membrane, with a lateral extension mainly along the floor and anterior wall of the canals. There are no osseous erosions of the underlying bones.
There is normal pneumatization of left mastoid air cells and middle ear cavities with normal appearance of the bony ossicles, scutum and tegmen tympani.
The vestibular-cochlear apparatus and internal acoustic canal have a normal appearance.
The course of the facial nerve is normal.
The carotid canal and jugular foramen are unremarkable.
The imaged paranasal sinuses are clear.
Impression:
CT findings are consistent with medial canal fibrosis bilaterally.
No middle or inner ear pathology.
