Sphenoid wing meningioma

Findings:
A sizable extra-axial mass lesion is noted resting on the left lesser wing of the sphenoid bone and extending to both anterior and middle cranial fossae, measuring approximately 27 x 25 x 31 mm (ML x AP x CC). It displayed well-defined outlines and homogeneous T1 isointense, T2 hyperintense matrix to the brain. It shows moderate diffusion restriction and intense postcontrast enhancement as well as enhancing dural tail. It is abutting the spheno-orbital fissure. Mild mass effect upon the left frontal and temporal lobes is noted with no perifocal edema.
No evidence of intraorbital extension or invasion of the cavernous sinus.
No evidence of any further intracranial mass lesion.
The brain parenchyma is unremarkable. There is no hydrocephalus or midline shift.
The pituitary gland is normal.
The orbits, paranasal sinuses and mastoid air cells are clear.
No bony abnormality is seen. The craniocervical junction is normal.

Conclusion:
Left sphenoid wing meningioma without invasion of the cavernous sinus and with no intraorbital extension.
Mild mass effect with no perifocal oedema. Further surveillance is advised.
