Alzheimer’s disease

Findings:
No intra- or extra-axial mass lesion or collection is identified. The midline structures are normal with no midline shift.
No sign of atrophy of the midbrain.
Global cortical atrophy score: 2 – volume loss of gyri, moderate ventricular enlargement.
Koedam score for parietal atrophy: 3 – marked sulcal widening and gyral atrophy, more prominent on the right side.
Mesial Temporal Atrophy: 2 – mild enlargement of the temporal horn and mild loss of hippocampal height.
Mild background small vessel ischaemic disease (Fazekas 1). No evidence of intracranial haemorrhage or an ischaemic event.
Empty sella is noted.
The imaged paranasal sinuses and mastoid air cells are clear. Bilateral IOL-implants are noted.
No bony abnormality is seen.

Impression:
No acute intracranial process.
Moderate atrophic changes, predominantly involving the parietal lobes bilaterally, suggestive of Alzheimer’s disease.
